CROVER ROBOTS

The CROVER robots represent the new state of the art for the monitoring, sampling, and management of bulk solids and powders. Used primarily industrially by grain merchants, ports and cooperatives storing and transporting large quantities of cereal grains, oilseeds and feed, the CROVER robots can work in most types of granular materials, including minerals and chemical powders.
The CROVER is the first and only device in the world able to swim through bulk solids and powders; it is made possible by the company proprietary technology for locomotion in granular materials. The CROVER mothership can also carry significant payloads on steep unstable granular slopes (something no other device is capable of), opening new possibilities for the handling of granular materials and pushing the boundaries of grain storage management.
Crover also provides a research offering for academics looking to integrate their own sensor(s) while leveraging the unique capabilities of the CROVER robots to move through granular media.

MARTA (MINING AUTONOMOUS ROBOTIC TRUCK AROCS) : LUME ROBOTICS

Mercedes-Benz Arocs Truck for Autonomous Operation in Mining Environment.

The autonomous vehicle MARTA aimed to test the Lume Autonomous Mobility System on a Mercedes-Benz Arocs dump truck, operating autonomously in the transportation of limestone between the pit and the crusher at a mine. During the proof of concept, the truck was adapted with the Lume System, which utilized sensors and mapping technology to define routes, detect obstacles, and perform loading and unloading maneuvers for the mineral.

The tests involved data collection to map the route, create paths, and validate the autonomous operation. The system successfully operated in various scenarios, such as intersections and interaction with other vehicles, completing the loading and unloading cycle without the need for intervention, except for safety supervision. During operation, the truck adjusted its speed according to the terrain conditions and detected other vehicles, performing evasive maneuvers when necessary. The testing was considered successful and paved the way for the future deployment of autonomous vehicle systems in mining operations.

Tramontina logo.png

TRAMONTINA ELECTRIC AUTONOMOUS VEHICLE  : LUME ROBOTICS

The Tramontina Autonomous Vehicle is an innovative project developed for the autonomous transportation of small loads within Petrobras facilities, utilizing the Lume Autonomous Mobility System. This system, consisting of intelligent sensors and control mechanisms, allows the vehicle to localize itself, recognize objects and people, plan routes, and perform safe maneuvers without the need for operator intervention. The graphical interface facilitates communication between the vehicle and non-specialized users.

Tests demonstrated the effectiveness of the system, such as when the autonomous vehicle adjusted its speed upon detecting vehicles ahead, stopped to avoid collisions with objects on the track, or diverted when a safe alternative route was available. The results confirmed the system's ability to detect objects and act safely and efficiently.

GIANT. FIGHTING ROBOTS - MEGABOTS

MegaBots, Inc., uses cutting-edge robotics technology to create the giant piloted fighting robots of science fiction, videogames and movies. These robots fight in epic-scale arena combat the likes of which the world has never seen before.

MegaBots are 15-foot-tall, internally piloted humanoid robots that fire cannonball-sized paintballs at each other at speeds of over 120 miles per hour. As the robots battle, armor panels shear off and litter the field, smoke and sparks pour out of the chassis, massive robotic limbs tear off, and robots crumple to the ground until only one is left standing.

The giant robots from science fiction are coming.
